AV PUBLISHING
dSIGN for Linux / UNIX
dSIGN for Linux / UNIX provides the backbone of sign printing features to retailers using the Linux or UNIX environment. dSIGN enables retail stores to publish accurate and attractive signs, shelf-edge labels, fact tags, coupons and more. Using store hosted data typically sent in batch processes from centrally located hosts. Stores simply sign on and print tailored batches of signs – batches that include all the signs they need and none they don’t.
Retailers can choose our C++ or Java software development kits to integrate with your existing interfaces. This allows you to:
- Maintain a time-tested conventional client/server architecture and avoid the need to add Web infrastructure.
- Supply powerful in-store publishing for sites with limited communication bandwidth.
- Rely on resilient local publishing capabilities for network-down situations.
- Deploy on a wide range of legacy platforms and non-Windows environments.
- Integrate with other client/server store applications and data.
Or retailers can choose our Linux / UNIX character-mode interface, customized for your enterprise, like top grocers in the US. Plus AccessVia dSIGN for Linux/UNIX is a fully customizable application that enables in-store printing of sign and label batches. Users can also create and print individual signs when needed. Many retailers customize dSIGN for Linux/UNIX to fit their organization’s processes and terminology and integrates the application with other store applications and data.
You get the same benefits as above, plus:
Create ad-hoc signs that look consistent with all other signs in the store.
One-click or automated import of batches from Headquarters SignShop or other outside applications.
Remove old or expired batches to keep listings concise and relevant.
Print signs and batches at a store that were created at retail headquarters.
