ACCESSVIA IMPLEMENTS SHELF TAG AND SIGN PRINTING FOR DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY SEATTLE – January 15, 2007 AccessVia® today announced it has implemented Web dSignShop for the Defense Commissary Agency, also known as DeCA. AccessVia is the industry leader in retail sign publishing systems with software in use daily at over 40,000 retail locations. AccessVia partnered with IBM to deliver a piece of IBM’s larger point-of-sale project. In just five days, the AccessVia team had Web dSignShop installed, configured, and ready for testing in the IBM lab. “We knew this project had the support for a quick implementation,” says Dean A. Sleeper, AccessVia CEO, “and now we’ve proven that our teams and software can take any ready retailer to a speedy rollout.” With Web dSignShop, government commissary stores worldwide will use the corporate intranet to instantly access batches of centrally designed shelf tags and signs or generate their own shelf tags and signs in the store using easy, pre-designed templates. The commissary headquarters team will maintain control of design and real-time item data to ensure consistency and accuracy among all the stores. The Defense Commissary Agency with headquarters at Fort Lee, Virginia, operates a worldwide chain of commissaries providing groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families. Web dSignShop is a part of the AccessVia Publishing Platform and is designed for retailers who want to use the Internet, an intranet, or an extranet to publish signs using a Web browser without installing or maintaining in-store software. AccessVia Publishing Platform solutions include software for managing all parts of a publishing system including template design, content management, distribution, and execution management. The platform includes support for all languages worldwide. AccessVia has won recognition including the RIS Retail Software Leaderboard of the top 45 Software Vendors in Retail and was voted by retailers as being one of the top ten vendors for strategic value and performance, quality of support and service, and ease of upgrading.
