SEATTLE, January 13, 2006 — AccessVia®, the leading provider of automated sign printing solutions and electronic display technologies for retailers, today announced that Mervyns, a leading promotional neighborhood department store, will use Web dSignShop® to deliver sign printing capabilities to its retail store locations. The Web dSignShop deployment will mark an extension of AccessVia's relationship with Mervyns, whose store locations have been printing retail signs using the company's client/server solution, dSIGN®. Now stores will use a corporate intranet to print signs that feature up-to-the-minute item data, giving them professional-quality merchandising tools without having to install or manage software. Mervyns store employees can quickly access batches of centrally designed signs or compose their own signs using easy, predesigned templates. Mervyns Corporate Headquarters will maintain control of sign layouts and the real-time item data to ensure design consistency and sign accuracy among all the stores. This efficient distribution method will require no new infrastructure for the chain, as stores will use existing printers and Web-connected PCs to print the signs. AccessVia has won recognition including the RIS Retail Software Leaderboard of the top 45 Software Vendors in Retail and was voted by retailers as being one of the top ten vendors for strategic value and performance, quality of support and service, and ease of upgrading. In addition, AccessVia has repeatedly been awarded Microsoft's Retail Application Developer (RAD) Award for North America and EMEA. For over 20 years, AccessVia has produced platform independent, open-standard solutions for retailers and is proud to partner with retail technology leaders such as 360Commerce, Connect3, HP, IBM, and Microsoft. The AccessVia Print solution includes both Web dSignShop and dSIGN to provide clients with accurate and attractive signs, shelf-edge labels, fact tags, coupons, and more. Web dSignShop is designed for retailers who want to use the Internet, an intranet, or an extranet to publish signs using a Web browser without installing or maintaining in-store software. dSIGN is built for classic client/server implementations and offers advanced product data delivery and unmatched integration with legacy systems.
