Planning and Specification

Application and Template Requirement Specification
With the guidance and collaboration of AccessVia, the client implementation team gathers data in two comprehensive documents: the AccessVia Requirements Workbook for Web dSignShop, Headquarters SignShop, and/or Store SignShop application configuration options; and the Template Specification Worksheets, which are used for designing print templates and include such specs as sizing, paper stock, graphics, fonts, and data publishing business rules.

Content Requirement Specification
An AccessVia Project Manager and Application Engineer work with the client to determine and gather requirements for the elements of content necessary for printing on signs and labels, including item library, batch event, item price, and organizational hierarchy.

Database Schema Requirement Specification
While AccessVia products provide a robust default database schema, some of our clients require custom or modified data fields in the publishing data schema. An AccessVia Application Engineer works with you to gather database schema requirements, a prerequisite step for any implementation project not using the standard AccessVia database schema.

Application Requirement Specification
Standard AccessVia application functionality is so comprehensive that clients generally use our products “out-of-the-box,” with no added functionality – and in some cases wish to disable functionality. However, should your organization require custom or modified functionality, an AccessVia Application Engineer can work with you to define and gather your unique functional requirements, a prerequisite step to developing the custom application functionality.

Hardware Requirement Specification
Prior to installation of AccessVia software, an AccessVia Project Manager and Application Engineer work with your IT team to determine the components and specifications of your hardware environment in order to ensure performance at effective levels of processing and production.

Hand-held Requirement Specification
Our clients routinely use hand-helds in the stores to scan items in aisle for various store operation purposes.  One of those purposes may be to print, though every retailer’s process is unique. This is a requirements gathering specification process to outline how a client can optimize use of hand-helds for in-aisle scan and print procedures.  This gathering of requirements is a prerequisite for any hand-held development.
