Publishing Extensions

AccessVia Publishing Extensions allow you to add powerful capabilities to your shelf-edge sign and label system.

Digital SignsDigital Signs

AccessVia Digital Signs extension enables a dynamic real-time rendering of product content to digital display devices such as LCD screens, electronic shelf labels, electronic signs, and self-service applications. Display templates are created using the same tools as print templates, providing consistent design and publishing.

AccessVia Digital Signs can present different messages in each department or store across a retail enterprise, the key being that you have chosen to build your digital sign network on a system that is proven to deliver signage accurately—every single time.

QR and 2D Barcode

AccessVia customers can take advantage of this new trend in shelf-edge marketing by adding QR codes to their existing shelf-edge signs both quickly and easily. With the AccessVia Publishing Platform you can:

  • Print a unique QR code on each sign that identifies the product or offer the sign is promoting.
  • Provide on-demand rebates or coupon claims.
  • Deliver targeted content to your customers while they're standing in front of the product.
  • Embed store identification into the QR codes and deliver store-specific pricing and promotions or loyalty programs, including cross-sells, up-sells, and package-pricing.
  • Track buying trends within your stores—know who is standing in what store looking at which product.

In-Aisle PrintingIn Aisle Printing

Moving appropriate retail tasks into the store aisle is a proven time and cost-saving strategy. Price check, inventory, and accounting are just a few of the many retail tasks that are already done in the aisles. Because of this, many retailers have an existing infrastructure of hardware and software operating devices for this arena. Our approach is to blend with these existing systems and allow the retailer to take advantage of their investment and their integrated warehouse, pricing, and inventory data. For some retailers, a stand-alone in-aisle printing application is preferred.

Whether you decide to integrate in-aisle printing to an existing in-aisle application, or develop a stand-alone application, the full power of the AccessVia Publishing Platform will be yours. Our In-Aisle Printing Solution provides:

  • Batch management of signs for printing in-aisle to a handheld printer.
  • Optional integration to existing in-aisle applications using the AccessVia In-Aisle Framework.

Central Print Automation

Extend your Web dSignShop or Central SignShop solutions to automatically generate printer-ready files and ship them unattended to the Print Service Provider (PSP) of your choice. Our printer-ready files are highly optimized Adobe PostScript or PDF that minimize resource management, file size, transfer time and time to RIP. The highly scalable publishing server can be scheduled to run at any interval to produce up to one million signs per hour! The system is easily configured to control the order, the grouping and naming of output files and deliver any specific file types to support your PSP's workflow. Our Central Print Automation extension handles file generation and FTP upload to maximize throughput while insuring robust error-handling and process-monitoring.

Document CenterDocument Center

Retail headquarters can distribute virtually any type of corporate material for printing in-store, including planograms, merchandising announcements and instructions, flyers, inserts, static signs, sale brochures, human resources documents and corporate documents. Take advantage of conventional graphic design tools and file formats to deliver marketing materials for printing in stores. All published documents are accessible from the Web dSignShop user interface. From there you can leverage all the technology and processes established for sign printing.

Planogram Integration

AccessVia Planogram Integration provides the integration and data transformation necessary to use planogram information for sign and label printing as well as to print planostrips from data that is gathered from other systems. Gain efficiencies by using data such as shelf-order information from your planogram tool to inform the print-order of signs and labels. Store employees can use Web dSignShop to print planostrips along with printing shelf-edge signs in planogram order.
