Template Developer / Graphic Designer

Seattle-based enterprise retail software company is seeking a positive, high-energy, experienced, technically-proficient, Graphic Designer to join our Application Services Team. This position provides outstanding opportunities to make a difference at a small company while being creative and gaining experience with a wide variety of technologies and digital publishing concepts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop sign and label templates for clients using the AccessVia Designer software
  • Design and develop graphic design Templates using AccessVia Designer software
  • Create and integrate graphic design elements and assets into templates
  • Construct and modify logical expressions to drive design formatting rules
  • Help clients establish template design specifications and dynamic formatting rules
  • Facilitate template development workshops with clients
  • Assist application engineers and clients to integrate templates into production environments
  • Assist clients with setup of Designer environments
  • Conduct Designer training sessions with clients
  • Work with the AccessVia Product Development Team to implement product improvements

 

Qualifications/Success Factors:

  • 1 to 3 years experience in a Graphical Designer capacity
  • Experience using desktop publishing software such as Adobe InDesign.
  • Technical aptitude or willingness to learn new applications and technologies
  • Proficiencies with relational database concepts, most notably Microsoft SQL Server and MS Access DB platforms (Familiarity with Oracle, Informix or DB2 is a plus)
  • Familiarity or willingness to quickly learn digital publishing concepts
  • Enthusiastic, positive, with a strong sense of initiative and task ownership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact positively and effectively with internal and external customers and team members
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and design specifications
  • Experience using AccessVia Applications is ideal
  • Retail industry experience is ideal
