Testing and validation of solution approaches identified as candidate(s) in the Exploration phase in model stores and at corporate headquarters, as appropriate. In the Collaboration phase, one pilot solution may involve business process redesign, another technology, yet others around visual strategies and designs. In piloting multiple solutions, practical issues arise and solutions are evaluated in action at model stores and at headquarters. In this Collaboration phase labor standards can be developed, as well as a blueprint for designing an environment in which metrics are easily tracked. At the end of this phase, a solution is chosen. Detailed requirements gathering will begin to guide the Execution phase.
